This was an amazing journey for our foundation to provide over 150 kids with an arts immersion experience. During the two weeks of camp our campers explored: dance, acting, media arts, stepping, painting, field trips and much more. We ended it with a pizza party and talent showcase with 10 amazing performers. All of the kids were amazing and we are so proud of each one of you. Thanks to the parents for trusting us with your kids and thanks to all of the sponsors and instructors who helped make this happen.

Including: Victor Jackson, NBC 11 Alive Reporter Francesca Amiker, Palette’s Paint and Wine, Building Adolecsent Minds, Mike Jones, Tyler Perry, Tyler Perry Studios, Roland’s Custom Cakes, DJ Knotts, Black Celebrity Giving and a huge thank you to our partner Andrew and Walter Young YMCA. We thank you for your partnership and amazing staff! We can’t wait to do it all again next year.

The Kandi Cares School Assistance Scholarship Program awards a one-time scholarship for tuition, housing, books, or other school related expenses to selected applicants attending a tuition-based high school, college or vocational/trade school.

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION HAS NOW PASSED. ON BEHALF OF KANDI CARES, WE SINCERELY THANK EVERYONE FOR YOUR INTEREST IN OUR SCHOOL ASSISTANCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.

To be eligible you must meet certain minimum requirements listed below:

  • Full-Time Student (Must be Registered in an Academic Institution by the Date of Application)
  • Applicants Must Have a Minimum GPA of 3.3
  • Applicants Must Be a Single Parent or Child of a Single Parent Home
  • Exhibit Strong Leadership and Community Involvement
  • Exhibit Financial Need

 
Application Deadlines:
Application Opens: November 20th, 2017
Application Closes: December 11th, 2017
 

Application Package:
A complete application is required to be submitted, a list of complete application items is provided below. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • Verification of Enrollment in Academic Institution
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • Essay (Maximum of 500 Words)
  • Resume
  • Current Transcript
